MISCELLANEA

Resources:

There are 16 resources in the game which can be conditionally divided into 3 types: Common and rare resources can be found on every planet, but rare unlike common ones are not so easy to find. Uncommon resources on some planets may be absent altogether. To find them - explore space, colonize new planets

There are special buildings for the production and extraction of resources:
- Farm - produces food.
- Power station - produces energy.
- Oil derrick - extracts underground resource oil.
- Mine - extracts other underground resources. The speed of production and extraction depends on the position on the map.

Such resources as wood, food and ants can only be found on the surface. Oil is only underground. All others, except for energy, are found both on the surface in the form of open deposits and underground. Underground resources are not depleted. The rate of their extraction in each specific place is different and constant. Ground resources have a limit, as soon as their mass becomes equal to 0, they disappear from the map.

To extract open resources from the surface, special mining structures are not required. If you have a hub and a free worker, and if you are lucky and you have found an open field, simply select a worker and right-click on the resource. For example, if you right-click a tree, the worker will go to it and start chopping it down. As soon as his backpack is full, he will carry the extracted wood to the hub. And as soon as he reaches the hub and empties his backpack, you will receive +20 wood. The number of resources you own is displayed at the bottom of the panel.

Extraction of underground resources requires mines, and oil derricks separately for oil. Underground resources are not evenly distributed. There are areas where they do not exist at all, and there are those on which several deposits are located at the same time. The speed of their extraction also depends on the location. To search for rich underground deposits, order your geologist to scan the area. A geologist's scan will show whether there is a desired resource in a given area, and at what speed it will be mined if a mine is built at this place. If you don't have a geologist, you can take the risk and build a mine or oil derrick at random. Perhaps you are lucky, and in this place you will find the resource you need.

Resources can also be obtained by hunting wild animals or by destroying enemy units and structures. In addition, resources can be bought or sold for gold on the market.

Mining productivity:

Initially, when you have just colonized a new planet and have not yet built any buildings, when your political status is still neutral and there are no criminal colonists on the planet yet, your mining productivity is 100%.

Too many mining buildings and too many populations complicate the overall logistics of the colony. Therefore, each new farm, mine, power station, oil derrick or house reduces the overall productivity by 0.5%.

Hubs, on the contrary, greatly simplify logistics, so each new hub increases productivity by 10%.

All other buildings except those listed above do not affect the productivity of mining.

The real income from mining buildings is obtained by multiplying the productivity by your total production. Mining productivity only affects mining buildings, it does not affect the rate of resource extraction by workers.

The owner of the planet receives a 20% bonus to productivity. If the owner of the planet is a tyrant, then the total mining productivity of the entire planet is reduced by 15%, including for the tyrant himself. Each illegal reduces the overall productivity of the planet by 10%, the invader by 5%. Penalties are cumulative, i.e. the more players on the planet with the status of an invader or illegal, the lower the overall mining productivity.

If you colonize Earth at least once, then all your colonies will permanently receive a 5% bonus to productivity. If the influence of your colony on Earth is greater than zero, then all your colonies on other planets receive a 10% bonus to productivity. If you are a tyrant on Earth, then all colonies receive a 15% bonus to productivity. If you are the governor of the Earth, then all your colonies receive a 20% bonus to productivity.

You can view your colony's mining productivity on the upper left information panel by opening the galaxy map.

Population size:

To have a large army, you need to build a sufficient number of houses. In the game, there is such a parameter as the population limit of the colony. This number depends on the number of houses you have. Each new house increases the population limit by +10. And accordingly, if you destroy any house, or disconnect it from the supply center, the population limit will also decrease by 10. Each new unit increases the population by +1. If the number of units is equal to or exceeds the population limit, their production is suspended.

Galaxy map:

There are some conventions in the game:
- The map displays only those systems near which there are planets suitable for colonization. Of course, there are many more stars in our galaxy itself.
- Our galaxy is not flat, but the galaxy map is displayed flat, it is considered that the Z coordinate is much less than the X and Y coordinates, and therefore it is ignored on the map.

Paints:

Any unit or building can be painted. The paint can be bought at the market for gold; it is sold in packs of 10 cans. Paints increase maximum armor, and are divided into 3 levels, the higher the level of paint, the more expensive it is, and the greater the increase in armor it gives. To paint one unit or section of a fence, 1 can of paint is required, to paint one building, 5 cans are required, for a tank and ships, with the exception of the dreadnought, 2 cans are required, for the dreadnought and gates, 3 cans are required.
